Police bid to tackle antisocial behaviour this summer

Police in Littleborough have launched a summer-long campaign to tackle antisocial behaviour during the holiday period.

Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be stepping up patrols and focussing on areas the public have highlighted as hotspots of antisocial behaviour and places where youths are likely to cause annoyance.

Inspector Jem Davies of the Littleborough Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Throughout the holiday period officers will be out and about informing young people of the great activities going on in the area to put a stop to antisocial behaviour and boredom during the holidays.

“Our aim is to ensure that summer is safe and enjoyable for everyone, and we will be making as many people as possible aware of Safe4Summer and the activities that children can take part in over the next few weeks.”
